Step 1: Teleworker Information Thank you for your interest in the Teleworker position advertised recently. This is a real job , it pays real money for the hours you work.....it is NOT commission work ... it is just like a normal casual job... the only difference is that you will be working from home. You will be provided with the Outbound5 computer program (FREE OF CHARGE) and you will NOT be asked to buy programs or equipment from our company....
What sort of work will you be doing?You will be making phone calls... You will be a Teleworker , not a Telemarketer... the reason we make this distinction is because most of the work you will be doing is customer service work... phoning existing customers of large well-known companies. You will use the telephone, you will call people, and we do expect you to be able to handle difficult customers, the work is quite different than that normally associated with Telemarketing..... Services works for many well known companies, all of
these assignments require you to have a good telephone
manner. It is company policy NOT to do "Cold Calling", you will mostly be calling existing customers for
well-known companies. What skills will you need to apply for the position?All you need is your own computer that can connect to the internet , a Telstra phone line, and a good telephone voice. It is that easy!. You will NOT be asked to pay any money. This is a job.. we pay you! How much will you get paid?You will be paid for every minute you work for Outbound Services this is not a commission job. You can choose to be paid as a casual employee or as an independant contractor. You will be paid
a minimum* of $21.00 / hour and sometimes will be offered
incentives which are paid on top of this hourly rate. You will be
working with no supervision. You will only be paid
for the work you actually do on the phone, the program estimates how long you have taken on each call.... YOU will NOT have to pay for telephone calls. All calls you make are billed to
us.... Your pay is deposited into your bank account and income tax could be deducted at the appropriate rates. You choose your hours. What equipment do you need?The program used for the phone work will run on most PC's... (sorry it will not run on an APPLE MAC) The Outbound5 Program will provide you with an estimate of the time you have spent working and reconciliation will be sent once the data on your calls is collated from the telephone carrier and your uploads. You will know on a daily (sometimes hourly basis) what you have earned. The Outbound5 program needs a "dial up" modem so it can dial the numbers for you while you are working with us, most computers have a "dial up" modem built in that is not being used. If you do not have one , don't worry you can buy one for about $50.. You will obviously need a telephone line. You will be NOT be billed for the telephone calls WE PAY THIS .. ..our system ensures that the phone charges for the calls you make are billed to OUR telephone bill. In some rare cases the phone line you have may not be suitable. If your home phone is a Telstra line and you are getting your phone bills from Telstra addressed to you, then it will be ok. You will NOT be billed for the telephone calls....WE PAY THE COST OF THE CALLS! You will need to have your own internet access, we prefer you to have broadband but as you only to go on-line to get your work.... a dial-up connection will do. You will also need a desk standing microphone connected to your computer (do not worry these only cost about $10 - 15 and are easy to install). We use this to record what you are saying! To progress in our company you will need a webcam, we use webcams for our advanced training. You do not need a webcam to apply for the position, but we do like to see who is working for us, and sometimes we will ask you to conduct an webcam interview for the job. You will be able to see and hear your team leader and a webcam will make it easier to train you for level 3 or level 4 work. You will then be asked to submit a Voicetest, which you can do at any time. However you must have registered using our secure registration page before you will get your voicetest result. If you
pass this Voicetest
you will then be asked to read and sign our Teleworker
